Please be advised that due to recent NYC mandates, all staff working in schools must be vaccinated as of October 4, 2021. The vaccine mandate has caused staff shortages within many NYC schools. While the leadership team at MLFA has worked diligently to ensure that the new mandates would not disrupt instruction during school hours, the extension of the after-school program remains impacted.
As a result, MLFA’s expanded day program will ONLY accommodate 6th grade students beginning tomorrow, Monday, October 4, 2021.
All 6th grade students with applications on file for University Settlement and New York Edge will remain in the building for after school from 2:40-5:30 as of tomorrow, October 4, 2021.
If you have a child in grade 6 that would like to attend the after school program, but does not currently have completed after-school applications on file, please contact the main office at 718-773-7343 to obtain copies of the after school forms.
It is our hope that we will phase in grade 7 and 8 students into our MLFA after school program within the next few weeks/months.
